About Us

Movie Meals began as a project for Computers4Kids with my first mentor, Ms. Tweedy. We both loved cooking and wondered what it would be like to open a restaurant. Our first step was to create a blueprint of our virtual restaurant using new software. We also set up a budget for all the things we needed and created a unique menu based on children's movie characters. We researched online for the normal fees of equipment, furniture, kitchen and cleaning supplies and arranged it in an Excel spread sheet. This gave us an overall idea of our initial costs for starting a restaurant. Our menu is based on popular children's movies like The Lion King and Chicken Little.

My second mentor, Lilo, helped me put the finishing touches on the menu, the budget, and blueprint then we created our website based on our new restaurant. We serve nutritionally balanced meals with a delicious children's menu. We use fresh local produce whenever possible. We priced our menu reasonably, so that families, large and small could affordably dine at Movie Meals.
